In the Fall of 2013, senior CCE scientist, Professor Jeffrey Bada (UCSD-SIO), was invited to participate in the All-Russian Science Festival in Kursk, Russia. In addition to participating in the science festival, Dr. Bada gave 5 lectures on his research focused on the "prebiotic soup". Results from these spark discharge studies attract interest amongst wide audiences as they may provide clues to the chemical origins of life. Dr. Bada sparked such interest that he was also featured in Russian television interviews several times during his visit.
