Research Interests:
The goal of my research is to elucidate the chemical features and prebiotic processes that governed the formation of the earliest genetic polymers (i.e., proto-RNA). In particular, I am interested in which types of molecules could have served as the earliest informational units (i.e., proto-nucleobases), and which types of molecules could have formed the backbone of proto-RNA.
